When I was young and troubled I was a fan of Kurt Cobain. I don’t know why but then I had this little curiosity, to know how his daughter looks like. The time passed, I grew and I stopped caring about such weird things. And now, today I found some Frances Bean Cobain fashion photos from Harper’s Bazaarand my obsession came back. First of all, to all you “conspiracy theorists”…forget it already. Kurt is gone. No matter how it happened, it happened. Personally, I don’t think his SUICIDE had anything at all to do with his wife or his band or the rights to his music…Kurt had been battling clinical depression for years-before heroin, before Nirvana…before fame, and certainly before Courtney. For people with clinical depression there is nothing NOTHING that matters except that inner pain. No matter how much money they have, or fame or love or sex or drugs, NOTHING can take away that pain. Yes there are drugs now that help alleviate the pain for a time, but it is always there. To blame Kurts wife, or his fellow band members for this tragedy is ridiculous. They did all they could do. At some point you will all have to admit to yourselves that Kurt did this, and that nothing any of you could have done would have saved him since he obviously did not want to save himself. Calling his daughter names and accusing her mother of murder isn’t going to change anything. It just makes you look stupid and immature, and VULGAR.

It’s been a while but still I can remember the day Kurt died: when the news broke out-our college campus seemed so silent; so tamed and just so lonely. it was really a very gloomy day for us-bunch of grunge-loving engineering students. Nice to see Frances in her grown-up photo-she’s beautiful. I see Kurt and Courtney in her, take care Frances…may you always remember the love that your daddy showed you.

Wow… she really is a beautiful young woman. I agree that she looks more like Kurt (rest in peace) than Courtney, especially in the face.
But seriously, you can’t judge her by who her parents are. I’m glad to hear that she is independent and following her own direction in life. Hopefully, she won’t have to go through some of the rough things her parents did. Kurt may have said it best himself; ” Drugs will f— you up.”
As for the whole Robert Pattinson deal, that’s her choice. Personally I think he’s a decent actor but has been in some lame movies. I’ve heard he’s kind of an a-hole, but none of us really knows about that.
Whatever she decides to do with her life, best of luck to her.

Man, I never usually post comments on anything, because I mean really, who can be fucked? Only morons and people without worthwhile passtimes post comments on these things… Oh shit.
Anyway, I just needed to point out the obvious to everyone. This girl looks like BOTH of her parents. I know, crazy right? You can argue as long as you want about which parent she looks slightly more like if you want. I don’t really care. But if she looks EXACTLY like anyone then she looks exactly like herself. Saying she looks EXACTLY like Kurt or EXACTLY like Courtney is less foolish than saying she looks EXACTLY like Mr T., but not much less foolish.
Furthermore why is everyone so gushy and certain that Kurt would be proud of Frances for being a fashion model? I imagine he’d be proud of her for being a good person. He’d be proud of her for trying her best to bring her mother up right (I actually have no problem with Courtney, I think she is an absolute character and has plenty of right to be as unhinged as she likes. She’s still more together than Britney Spears or Justin Beiber).
But why for being a model? Fashion and modelling are both so obviously and mindlessly corporate and materialistic and pretty much everything that Kurt and Krist (and to some extent even Dave) hated and stood against. Based on what Kurt said in interviews I don’t think he’s the kind of guy who’d be impressed by a glossy fashion spread even if it was his wife or daughter being exploited for money, fashion and publicity. He seems like he’d be more impressed if she published a dirty cartoon drawing of Chris Brown getting a giraffe shoved up his ass in some completely random no-name zine that was published by her best friend on a Xerox machine…
